I would recommend a set of rings, like those olympic guys. I Hated those things, but it seemed like every day we were hanging off of fucking rings. (core strength)
Dude, get a set of dumbbells, at about 20% body weight, and rock on... Kettleballs and the other stuff doesn't matter.
these guys are insane about chinups, so a chimp bar (that what we called it) is really a necessity. Look at it this way. Installing a bar is cheaper than looking for bar weights.
