9th wonder also did the Murs 3:16 album, which is excellent.
Two biggest albums for me this year so far have been S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M. by One Be Lo (formerly One Man Army of Binary Star) and, without a doubt the best album of the last few years that didn't have MF DOOM, Beauty and the Beat by Edan. Seriously, that album is redicuously nice. There's been some other good releases this year (Blueprint, Common, Quasimodo are some notable ones) but far and away the best has been Edan.
I'll add a couple of other things to look out for as well-
Ras kass-Institutionalized
Jakki the Motamouth-***vs. Satan
and the album that will make all other of this year's music sound like a bag of pots with a yowling cat being kicked down a flight of stairs:
MF DOOM and Danger Mouse (Dangerdoom)-The Mouse and the Mask.
And for Strange Famous, I didn't much like selling live water, but I did like alot of the earlier Anticon releases. Don't know if you have them, but you might want to check out:
Them-Them
Deep Puddle Dynamics-Taste the rain...why kneel
Buck 65-Man overboard (honestly, his whole catalouge up to and including talking honkey blues I think is really good)
Anticon Presents...Music for the Advancement of Hip-Hop (great compilation, gives you a sampling of some of the many Anticon artists [some, like Sage Francis, Buck 65, and Slug who are no longer with the label and the label sorely miss, IMO])
Sage Francis-Personal Journals
