Y'know...now that you mentioned Experian...I seem to remember something on the local news about this. I
think (I wasn't really paying that much attention) that they're selling "customers" some service or another, under the guise of a "free" credit report, which they are bound, by law, to give up once a year anyway. Now I wish I'd have paid more attention.
