Oh Shesus: I do Christmas, Channukah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan, and Tet in my study of winter holidays around the world.
We normally break for about two weeks right at the start of Winter. Christmas is only one day in that time, two if you count Christmas Eve. Calling it holiday break or winter break is not only more sensitive to non-Christians, it's more accurate.
