Thats thinking outside the box. I would believe that as a possibility but the object kept the same blinking rhythm the whole time. If it was solid light, your explanation would be very plausible. But 3 or 4 objects in rhythm would be a stretch.
What really started blowing my mind was what if the object never changed directions, but actually maintained a straight path. Perhaps the the light was bending on planes of space and we were seeing a reflection of light bending in space.
