You're saying you don't have any software to drive the tuner? What OS are you using? If Linux, I can recommend "zapping". Search for it at Freshmeat.
I'm surprised that your tv tuner card didn't come with some sort of TV desktop application. You sure there wasn't a CD in the box that you overlooked? Or did you buy it second-hand?
