I am back from Army training. I was sent into the lion's den needing to lose a little weight, and there is nothing like a Military course to peel the weight off.
I weighed myself before I went, for curiosity sake. I really could care less about how I look and what number the scale displays.
One guy told me "It looks like you are losing weight" and I replied that my uniform was fitting a little differently. We did not have access to a scale, nor did I have the time to inquire.
I got home, and stepped on the ol' truth machine, and POW!
30 lbs lighter. I am back to my "ripped" weight. It was bad (long marches and heavy weight) and the PT was intense.
There were 5 platoons, and the DND is thinking about adopting a new program called "Cross Fit". 2 Platoons did regular PT, 2 did Cross Fit (mine included) and 1 was a control group meaning they did whatever the Commander wanted on any given day.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I should direct you to the site
www.crossfit.com to check it out.
I was eating healthy, well balanced meals (and I was eating alot, trust me). I walked past the dessert tray, for no good reason.
I am going to try to keep up the PT schedule, but unless there is an NCO screaming at me, I doubt that I will be able to stay in this shape.
It was intense, and was wondering if there are any other people on TFP who have tried Cross Fit or been subjected to their mascot "Pukey the Clown".
