The fight should have been a draw, it is a draw if the one judge doesn't give Taylor the 12th. Which in my mind, was ludacris that Taylor got the 12th in anyway, he was clearly dominated late, and the 12th was a very definitive round for Hopkins. Hopkins, as usual didn't do enough early, and didn't sneak in enough rounds so when he got started there was no question. It was going to come back to haunt him at some point. No question Hopkins was lazy early, but in NO way does Taylor deserve the 12th. The fight should have been a draw.
Taylor in the next fight really needs to let his hands go. Hopkins can't handle his strength, as very apparent when he tried to wrap him up Hopkins style, and Taylor just threw him off.
The problem with Jones is that he still has a slight chance of greatness once again, and people want to see it. I personally think Tarver is WAY overrated, and Jones still has enough boxing ability to dominate him like he should. Jones defense is based on speed, when he moved up, he lost a tiny bit of that through poor conditioning when he tried to come back down. I still think he beats Tarver this time, or he gets KO'ed again. WHo knows, it's boxing!
Be entertaining none the less.
