I find I learn more when I mess around with it. It's irritating, but oh, so much more rewarding when I get it right....eventually...
The more I think about it, the more I believe ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) is the way to go with this one.
Basically, it's just connecting the two computers via their network cards and running the built in wizard. Like I said, the 'gateway' computer, which I assume would be yours needs some horsepower as it can bog down the system a bit, but I imagine it with it being dial-up and only occassionally used, that the drain wouldn't be too bad at all.
Just check google. There are tons of tutorials that are much more thorough than anything I could post here.
