Adding to the playoffs is rediculous.
If they are trying to copy the NBA to make the NHL more marketable to the American public, then they are in for a huge surprise.
To make the game more marketable, they need to increase scoring to make it more watchable on TV (where ALL of the money is), not adding more games to an already long playoff second season.
Heck, having a shoot out to avoid ties would peak my interest. Not these horrible OT bore fest, or even the 8 OT playoff games that end the middle of the next day.
I would love to see the NHL thrive... but they are way off from where they need to be right now.
