You solved your problem; great. What I was going to say was, take your photographic skills and try to make some cash off them. I'm going to say the "W" word -- weddings. Yeah, it's a pain in the ass but it pays. You wouldn't get the huge weddings, but if you advertised a package for 300/400, even with flyers at supermarkets, you'd get calls. The wedding industry is a huge ripoff, and somebody offering a reasonable job at a reasonable price would get some real interest among the folks with lower budgets; they're more fun to work with that the nouveau riche snobs anyway, trust me. My wife is a minister sans congregation who'll marry people who seem real about it, whether or not they're in her denomination. So I've seen the underbelly of a few weddings.
