i have been in the same boat as you with jobs i come home from college in end may and every job is gone so i just go look around for restraunts like applebees or a decent restraunt or any job for that matter and maybe not lie but bent the truth
i used to say that i am probably going to transfer down here and that i wont be leaving....
every hiring manager(being a former one) looks to have workers that stay longer than 3 months but i found out as a manager that its almost a pipe dream, people quit all the time
i would just sell yourself and say that even if you go back to school tell them that you usually come back everyweekend(even if you dont) or that you have a schedule where you dont have classes on a monday(so you can almot work 4 days if you come back) just tell them what they want to hear and they will hire you
sure you might not leave on the best terms if you quit but most times you get sick of the job(especially min wage summer jobs) after 3 months and you dont want to come back next summer
OR another idea which i used one summer was get a job at a costco up at college and then transfered to the one by my parents house when i went home for the summer, this works well because(well costco anyway) loves keeping its employees in the company
