Most Nextel contracts are 2 years and are $200 to get out of early, however i don't know for sure that yours is that way.
If you just got the letter, check the letter and see what it says about your ability to cancel. Also, try calling the customer service. Always ask to speek with a supervisor if the first person you get doesn't sound too sure of themselves - they might just not know!
I'm waiting for the merger to produce some new kind of service from either name, or a new one... I've liked some nextel features and some sprint features, but not enough to buy one or the other's service. The merger could just do it for me!
