We met in the first days of college, and started dating later that semester. We were from different states, so the chances of overlap were slim. However, when she visited my parents' house and was looking through an old photo album, she saw pictures of the New Jersey boardwalk that was the next town over from her. Since she spent most of her elementary-school summers at that beach and boardwalk playing with any kid close to her age, it is very likely that we met back then.
