I was talking with some other girls on another board and something she said got me to thinking.....she was mentioning how it took her and her SO almost 20 years to actually meet and hook up with each other........


Dave and I spent about 20 years "missing" each other. We actually had the same circle of friends. I have a girl that cuts my hair...she is the wife of a very good friend of his.... there were a few times that he'd just left their house when I arrived for a hair appt...or he arrived right after I left. We were at the very same concerts and even spoke to the same people, but not at the same time. We lived in different school districts but we were both friends with the same people at the opposite schools. We were actually sitting in the same place in a bar watching a local band competition right before we met (a few weeks prior)

I had a crush on one of his best friends brothers all thru out high school and was at their house the same time Dave was (but hes 4 1/2 years younger than me, so I wouldnt have paid any attention to him when I was 14-18 cause he would have been 10-14 lol). There are MANY circumstances like this between us...I've only listed a few off the top of my head.

I know this one doesnt count as a near miss...but my ex mother in law actually dated Dave's dad when they were in high school.

His mother and grandmother was my lunchroom lady when I was in middle school

David and I had to meet thru an online personals even though we'd been in the same place all our lives

does anyone else have a situation like this?
