Well, my computer finally gave up on me so I decided it is time to upgrade and I am planning on upgrading almost everything. Before I start, I was wondering if anyone was willing to give me some ideas for components. At this point, I am leaning towards AMD for my processor because I can run a 64 bit chip on a 32 bit OS until longhorn comes out and then I can get the full potential of the chip. Still, I have had good luck with intel so I will consider doing an intel buildup. I am willing to spend about $1,500 max. Currently I have 1 gig of ddr 400 ram, a 36 gig 10,000 rpm raptor hard drive, and a decent power supply left over from the old computer. Thanks to everyone for any help in advance.
