Correct, the courts ruled in favors of players wanting to skip college and enter the NBA decades ago. I personally do not agree with it. The NFL successfully fought the challenge against their age/years out of high school limit. If it is taken to court, I hope the NBA wins too. Whatever proponents like to say, I believe the bottom line and most important factor is that the NBA, NFL, and all other professional leagues are private leagues. I believe the government should have no say in the matter. If a player is injured and his stock drops, it is unfortunate. If he is good enough, he will still be drafted. If not, hopefully he can recover and regain his ability. If he suffers a career ending injury, I sympathize, but have seen far worse tragedy.
