I used to listen to sports radio quite a bit, and some Rome on occasion, but I generally listened to the local shows in Phoenix.
It used to drive me nuts when the hosts would talk about the movie they went to the night before, or playing golf with their buddies, or whatever that wasn't sports related. I wanted to hear about the local teams, not the stupid hosts. I didn't want to live vicariously through the guy at the radio station.
I really liked Bob Kemp and Arnie Spannier way back when on the One on One sports network out of Chicago. i think they got bought out though by ESPN or sporting news or something. That was YEARS ago.
