The Earth is hit by meteors all the time. The vastest majority of time are dust-sized, with the occasional pebble-sized rock hitting us. On average, a meteor a meter across hits somewhere on the Earth once a year.
I going to take a wild guess and supposed that this isn't what you meant, that you meant a city-flattener or worse. None currently known are expected to hit anytime soon, but that doesn't mean an unobserved chunk of rock or ice isn't aiming itself at Dallas right now.
