Seems to me, this would just the kind of thing they should be looking for... and that doesn't even begin to talk about someone walking across the border with weapons and a bloody chainsaw.

I can understand why there wasn't a warrant check, it would take too much time for border patrol to check everyone. Ok, ok, so the guy with weapons should've been checked, that's a given; but the article did state that they weren't sure if it were just rust or red paint on the chainsaw. Who knows maybe the guy had other tools in the car or whatever he was driving and made it look semi-normal??
