Do you rest enough between your physical exercise? All the repairing the body has to do for working out can often slow down the repair of other minor things. Sleep is very important to those who exercise regularly.
Do you use whey protein already before going to the gym? If not i'd suggest that. If your already using whey protein, try creatine. I believe theres several threads in the H&F giving loads of details about it.
