for professional purposes, I'm a bit of a culinary snob, so I try to stick to larousse gastonomique/escoffier/jacque pepin's la technique for my technical books. I checked out allrecipes.com, though, and for simple stuff it seems to be a decent resource. I'm sure I could plunder a couple good recipes/ideas from there as well.
