I have the same problem.
I'm 21 years old, exercise everyday (either martial arts or soccer), eat 4 meals daily, but never put on weight.
I am planning on going to the gym, but am quite self conscious of my weight, so I find the idea a bit daunting.
From what I have read some people just have a really fast metabolism, so find it extremely hard to gain weight. I think the best way to gain weight is just to eat stupid amounts of (good/bad (not just bad)) food and lift weights.
But remember, most people don't care about the fact that you are skinny, so don't think that you are any less of a person. But, if you yourself can't get passed this fixation of being thin, then buff up and move onto your next problem.
