This is nowhere near as bad as what they have done to the original Looney Toons... They have censored swaths of content from them... I was watching the Sherriff of Nott get knighted (arise Sir Loin of Beef! WHAM! over the head with the sceptre)... only he got hit once... cut... and then there he is with several lumps and reeling. It was much funnier when Bugs hit him again and again and again.
This is sort of cutting is found throughout the catalogue of shorts... It always annoys me.
This is way less annoying than creating a new series with redesigned characters (and is a better analogy for the Lucas comparison... Han shot first!)
