Thank you for this thread. It is always nice to know people care. I've been in the Navy for about 6 1/2 years now, and it never gets old to have people let you know they appreciate what you are doing. Of course, I have only heard the words spoken twice sense I’ve been in. As silly as it may seem, it does hit a soft spot when some one you’ve never seen before and probably will never see again walks up and shakes your hand with an expression of real gratitude on their face.
