I always wear my seat belt. Didn't use to but once when I was 7 mo pregnant got into a 45 Mph crash head on with a guardrail overlooking a ravine. Still hit my head on the edge of the roof above the windshield. Sprained my wrist too. Cops and eye witnesses said that if I hadn't been belted in I'd have more than likely shot through the window. I had a sore shoulder from the belt but because I was wearing it properly I didn't have any trouble with the pregnancy. My daughter was born 2 months later perfectly healthy and 8.5 lbs. When someone elses life is in your hands a close call wakes you up even more than when you are on your own. I will always wear a belt. I've seen more than one person thrown from a vehicle - none of them survived.
