I hate wearing seatbelts when I am a passenger. Absolutely hate it. When I am driving though, I have to wear my seat belt, especially when I am driving my own car. My dad, and some of his friends have been in accidents where, if they had worn there seatbelts they would have been killed. But my dad also has friends that have been thrown hundreds of feet from their car.
Why did God invent seatbelts?
So the paramedics wouldn't have to search for the bodies.
My dads friend was thrown so far from the crash site, that the paramedics didn't find the body until hours after the initial crew came to the site. My dad's friend flew out of the convertible.
Needless to say, if I am not driving, most likely I won't be wearing a seatbelt if the driver of the car doesn't make me put one on. Unless we pass the police. Most everywhere I go now has seatbelt laws, but now that I think about it, putting my seatbelt on <i>after</i> we pass the cop isn't going to do much good if we get pulled over...Anyway, now that I have completly said too much...I'm gonna go.
