i saw the faint last week in philly and i was also blown away. i've never seen so many people dancing at a rock show before. i really doubt they are facists, i think that whole thing and their "german" sound/look is more of a gimmick than anything else, they seem to be a bit trendy.
yes, they did sound very studio perfect live, but it most likely has to do with how they used samples more than playing live. the guitar and bass players played fairly infrequently, and parts of the drums weren't played live either. sorry if i sound picky, it's just the kind of thing i notice.
enon didn't play this show, i guess they were replaced with les savy fav, who totally effing rocks. if you have a chance to see them live do it. schneider tm (the only real germans in attendance) were great too, although the audience didnt seem to care all that much for them.
