I just had a broken foot back in March. It wasn't until about 6 weeks after I had broken it that the swelling really went down. The Dr told me about 6-8 weeks before it would go down. So date the healing from the last procedure you had done on it. One key for the swelling to go down was getting out of my brace and walking on it. The movement improves the blood flow and until you get better blood flow the swelling won't go down completely. I wish I'd noticed this thread earlier and been able to tell you this then. I haven't been around as much or reading as much here because of everything that's been going on. Good Luck. It's totally frustration when you're body isn't feeling or looking normal.
One more thing - The Dr told me that as long as there was swelling that putting ice on it would help. It did. I found that keeping ice on it almost completely got rid of the swelling at times. Try that out.
