been about 2 weeks since you posted this. how's the progression?
with the fracture, setting it, placing of pins, a cast, restricted movement, you have a lot of reasons to have inflammation, which can lead to swelling, as well as restriction of blood flow and lypmhatic fluid. in essense, you have a multitude of reasons for your fingers to be swollen.
other than doing what you're doing, there's not much else to do. the swelling could take weeks to months to subside.
