Thinking about a second job...
Hey all, as the summer comes up, I've come to realize that I'm going to have a lot of free time without school and all. I have an arrangement with my boss to work around 30-35 hours a week through the summer, though I'm considering getting some kind of second part-time job. I have rent payments all through the summer on my new apartment, and I really would like to be able to start paying back the $1300 I owe my parents (accumulated unforseen expenses throughout the year). To be honest, the tech-support job is my first real job (My 'unreal' work experience is all in my career area, which is film lighting and cinematography, and though it is good for my career, the experience doesnt help pay the bills while I'm still in college). Just wondering what you would recommend as a relatively low-stress second job that I could use as a small suplimental income (a good friend of mine works at a local coffee house a few afternoons a week just so she gets the employee discount and it provides a few extra dollars for spending money-- this is the type of thing I would be looking for). I'm not really looking for specific stores or anything, just what type of job would be what I am looking for (remember little experience, so I dont honestly know how hard it is to work at blockbuster or flip burgers)...
