From my experience, the division tends to be pretty equal. OF course that's based on jazz and not rock or pop bands. The bassist tends to be the rhythmic foundation of the band, actually, and the drummer is typically in the best physical condition. (for fairly obvious reasons) Singer are occasionally divas, but then so are guitarists, typically more so than the other members of the band. Based purely on abstractions, I think I'd prefer a female bassist first, drummer second, singer, and then guitarist. (despite being a guitar player myself) Guitarists are typically very confident if not arrogant, and that's pretty much a requirement to do the job, frankly.
