Well, I think the price competitor for the 9800 is the 6600 GT.. the agp flavor has come down in price recently. I bought an XFX, I know some guys have had problems with it, but I have had nothing but pure gaming joy with mine, and its currently at $159 after mail in rebate at google:

If you get a bad one you can always ship it back. Think they fixed the fan problem and everything, anyways.
