I love Quebecers as a people. I've spent alot of time there and continue too. Honestly some of the best times of my life. I can see Quebec from my dining room window as a matter of fact. It's not the people I have a problem with. It's the politicians who have made blackmailing the rest of Canada an art and somehow acceptable regarding the so-called distinctness of Quebec.

Thanks for the clarification. I just wasn't sure of your meaning before.

But if the seperatist movement is dead, why is there still the Bloc party and why is it gaining strength? Wouldn't be for the cash would it?

I agree with the second part of this statement. Perhaps the whole Bloc party is just guys riding on a sweet deal, watching the money roll in, while barely making token efforts to maintain an idea that died around 25 years ago. Many Quebecers' knee-jerk reaction is to vote for the Bloc, because of the mentality that was spread during that time. A most unfortunate situation.
