I bought a laptop before leaving the states (in japan). I would like to contact my computer at home (I have people who can install programs for me.)

I never installed XP pro on the laptop before leaving and it would be a real pain in the ass to do it now.
I had thought the media edition was xp pro with extras (I swear at one point it was).
But it turns out not to be.

Anyway, is there a way to use the Windows remote feature on Media player edtion 2005?

Right now I will try to use VNC but I would rather use the faster windows one if I can install it.
