You made a great point. Football is a high contact sport, and there is a probability that you could seriously cripple or lose you life playing it. I support fines on illegal hits in the NFL, despite one argument that it takes away from a player's natural reflexes/reactions that causes some of those illegal hits. I know this particular death was in a different context, but I was elaborating.
