There's a very attractive young woman who participates in this forum who had plastic surgery not all that long ago. She was beautiful before. Did she need it? No probably not, but if it made her feel better about herself, and how she thinks that she looks, then it's worth it to her.

As for the teacher, I can go both ways on it, if she was doing it because she was afraid of getting older and was desperate to hang on to her youth, then that's really not the right reason for doing it. If she did it because it would make her feel better about herself, then that's the right reason. I surely wouldn't mind getting rid of the laugh craters between my eyes... but I have better things to spend my money on.

The woman who wanted to look like Carmen Electra makes me sad, because it doesn't seem like she was doing it for herself, she was doing it for the boyfriend, and that will make her self esteem take a bigger hit.
