Well, I fear the flames for this post, but...
I like Gordon Campbell. Sound-bites and drunk driving aside, he has done exactly what I expected him to do when he got elected. He has run his government with a vision of what he thinks is best for the province "as he sees it". Whether or not one agrees with that vision, I find it refreshing to see a government that makes unpopular decisions.
Look at the federal Liberals. They are all about opinion polls and getting re-elected. The result is a dithering, ineffective government.
Now, just before you decide you have me figured out, I have to add that the only politician I have ever met with true integrity of character was Mike Harcourt. He'd be my vote for king of the world.
