I'm voting Liberal. Or at least I would, if I were with my wife and family in BC still. The reason?
I'm sick of governments that run themselves into the ground with high spending. I seriously think BC is a province where Vanderzam or Clarke could run again. People have such short memories. BC is home to union Goons that try to strongarm the government at every turn. And when they don't get their way, they run like a 6 year old to the papers, oh no, the Liberals are oppressing me....
You know why Campbell had to make cuts and cut jobs? Because the Govt is NOT a job creation program. Fast Ferries? Hell lets FORGET them, I mean, they were better than job cuts right? Casino licenses in return for decks? Well I'd rather THAT then the oppression of the people. I mean, those Government employees have the RIGHT to a free ride through life in a job that shouldn't even exist.
And before you go pouncing me into the flame war, I was a Govt employee, as is my wife still in BC. And when we had 4 managers (count em, 4) for 6 employees, and they SELF ADMITTEDLY did squat, its time for some cuts.
And you know what, if you don't want to vote Liberal or NDP, all the power to you, but PLEASE don't throw away your vote to some shite like the Communist party. Vote green, and at least be PART of a positive change. The greens are very very close in some ridings.
And, as I've said before, flame on.
