Just a shot in the dark here... but are any parts of the GIF transparent or semi-transparent? If there are multiple layers which get merged when you save, that can frequently screw with the colors... so it looks one color in the editing program, and another when you view it. Try merging the layers before you save, see what happens.

If that's not it, I got nothing else. Sorry.

Edit: I just read another post about GIMP using layers to animate. That hadn't even occured to me before, but it makes perfect sense. If your editing program uses layers to animate, rather than a timecode, this might be the problem. If you layer, make sure the layer with the text on it is white in the background to absolve any overlapping color issues.


If you post the GIF, I might be able to take a look at it.
