I had a simple irritation to a new lotion I was using and a Dr. misdiagnosed me as having hpv. She put an acid over the entire vulva area to make the so called hpv go away. So now, because of her inexperience, I now have a small tear or crack in the vulva area, near the vaginal opening, right before you get to the perineal area. The acid made the skin tear! I go in with a simple product irritation and I come out with a permanent tear. About 3 months later, I realized it was the lotion that was making me irritated, I stopped using it and the irritation went away in a few days. But now I had a new problem, the tear that the unnecessary use of the acid caused.

I remembered that when the skin was done peeling! (right after the acid treatment was done), I noticed that there was one spot, right out side the vaginal opening, that was bleeding. This is where the tear is now. So the acid must have made the skin crack since that specific area was just fine before the acid treatment.


This small tear never seems to heal. I wont feel any pain until I have sexual intercourse with my husband. It then seems to reopen and it bleeds a little. And then it hurts for about a week. It's been two years since I got the tear, and it never heals.

Ive tried estrogen creme, hydrocortisone cream, neosporen , nothing heals it. It just reopens after every time we have sex, or even if the area is just touched. I'm guessing it could be because that area is closed up, no air really gets to the tear. It's not healing like other cuts I have had on my arm, leg or other places. The only difference I can think of is that the area is always moist and no air reaches it.

Does any one know of any way to heal this small tear in my skin? I am afraid that it will be like this my whole life. Another Dr. said that we can try to re-cut the tear and then stitch it up, but she said it might not work. I'm guessing that could also make it worse.

Any one happen to have any advice : (
