I can't wait to hear the damning testimony. But whatever it is, I'm sure it's the tip of the iceberg and the rest of the iceberg will remain submerged.
If this prompts an election,I'm not sure that's a good thing. I just don't know anymore.
I think the Liberals are all a bunch of lying scumbags. Even worse is the infantile pandering to Quebec so as not to offend. And then,..fuck the rest of Canada seems to be the mantra.
Then we have the Conservatives. Where to start. I have favored Conservative ideals but now see them as borderline radicals. I think the whole religious/ anti-gay thing just reminds me to much of Bush. "You're with us or against" type nonsense that breeds sheep, not a vision.
And the rest, to mundane to ponder.
It's interesting though listening to the pundits. The sponsorship mess was somehow brainstormed to let Quebec see that the rest of Canada loves them unconditionally in all their distinctness, yet now Quebecers now feel insulted and seperatist rumblings are gaining strength. I think Jane Taber quiped something like, 'Well if Quebec gets to much support from Canada it feels it loses its identity but to little support and they feel abandoned and wrong done by.' Kinda like can't win for trying.
Anyways one day maybe some politicians will realize that Canadians are equal in their differing ways or that each province is equally distinct from the rest. Probably won't happen though.
