Need to know a little bit more about the computer, i.e. is it a Pheonix or and Award BIOS and do you see the card identified on the initial bootup screen that provides the BIOS identified hardware?
For the record I hate MSI boards and I'm hoping that your soundcard isn't just toasted.
Things to look for in the BIOS. .. somewhere under the PNP settings the option for PNP OS should be set to NO!!!! This is very important, if you're curious I can give you the long winded reason why later. Also look for a setting that says Reset configuration data, or Update ECSD or a combination of the two and try changing it to Yes. It'll revert to No after a reboot so don't stress over it. Also, if you moved the card down in the slots you may want to try moving it up, or swapping it for a card that's currently working, just as a troubleshooting step.
