Happens every now and then with the wife.
We're just inventive when it does. Move around, change positions, use a towel if absolutely necessary, etc.
The only real disadvantage I've seen once is by just "keeping plugging" we wore ourselves down completely, unable to move for days. Which wouldn't be bad, but we have kids to take care of in the daytime
