One thing you might want to think about instead of chewing food more to lose weight, drink lots of water while eating.
This does two things, first starch (breads) expand when in contact with water in your stomach. And two, helps fill your stomach faster with water than just plain food.
So it's a double hit. When I eat I drink about 2-3 glasses of water (unless I'm at a buffet, I get my money's worth there), there's a noticable difference when I drink lots of water than just eating and sipping.
