Well i'm going to take up this chewing business and as for the cold shower may even have a go at that.
If you chew your food then you are bound to eat less, as it takes you longer to eat and therefore your brain will tell you you're full when you really are full. Unlike when you gulp the food down by the time the first mouthful hits the stomach you're already done and on dessert, that can't be good.
