I just finished it and watched the extra content included. The ending was a bit abrupt, like people have said, but I think done well, since the connection with each character in the team was built up significantly. I found myself at times laughing at Scorch's comments and listening intently to the gritty seriousness of Sev. The tactical elements were light, but fun and thorough enough to be accessible to most people.
As for enemies from the first level coming back, while these are somewhat disconnected missions, the storyline is still occuring in the backdrop of the game. So I would think that the fact that enemies showing up later would just emphasize that some sort of alliance had been made. And for the record, I hate those things.
With the abruptness, it has all the makings of sequel, ex pack, or just straight teaser for the third movie (most likely for movie, since there's no dev time left). Plus, Lucas admits that the color scheme of your teammates ties in with his choice of color scheme of the movie, allegedly.
All in all, it was fun, it was fairly addictive (as Coppertop will attest to), and it delivered a great experience.
