i have never really like the idea of caps. putting a yellow top battery under the hood or even a couple in the trunk has always been the biggest increase in power for me. i know its does end up costing more to put in, if you hook it up with a higher end switch so it wont drain the front batt while you are idling but even a 4.2 farad cap i had for awhile didnt save up enough power to meet my needs.and i had to make the change to a second then a third optima batt. also im not a fan of the newer rockford stuff, even tho i have and enjoy the rockford RAV-DVD2 7" in-dash DVD screen. i still wouldnt trust there new amp lines it just doesn't compare with some of the stuff rockford was putting out a couple years back. I guess what im trying to say is even tho i have been told by my rockford rep the stuff is still made in USA it has feel that every penny was shaved off the cost of making the amp just so it could be sold to the big box stores for cheaper. I trust and enjoy the JL and kicker lines alot more then even the higher end rockford.
