actually the sound on the mids/highs is just great after the filters, they tended to produce a little too much bass for me and when i have it up some of the bass in the music if it is too much still leaks through a bit even with the filters. I like my mids/highs crisp with little bass in em (that's what woofers are for). and they are the highest grade of speakers fosgate makes which is not a component set which i don't want, but the alpine unit pushes them fine, planning on adding a PG 4 channel amp for the mids, and have recently replace my choice of amp to a PG R15.0:1 with a 15" Solobaric L7.
