I used this burner in my pc for a good 7 months to burn movies and such. The enclosure I got ,a NexStar 2, didn't really come with any drivers. It''s a USB 2.0 device, and I'm trying to use it on USB 2.0 ports. A friend of mine has a firewire dvd writer and that works fine for him. I bought usb because it was a little cheaper. Firewire transfers at 400 bps and usb 2.0 is 480, so says my enclosure's box.

When you say USB drivers, did you mean for the device, or for my motherboard? The mac wouldn't have that issue.
